OpSense installed temperature and humidity sensors in walk-in freezers, refrigerators and cases throughout Rainbow Blossom’s four stores. Following the installation, while reviewing the data, the OpSense team noted that a functional beverages cooler was running high, and the ice cream freezer was running colder than necessary. The ice cream freezer was an easy temperature adjustment that resulted in energy savings. Reports from the functional beverages cooler were forwarded to the refrigeration vendor. The underlying issue uncovered one unit was not functioning and the other units were working harder. Adjustments were made before a major loss of equipment or product occurred.
