B&R Stores is an employee-owned corporation with 32 stores in Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri. Sustainability is a part of their mission along with delighting their customers and providing a quality shopping experience. Jordan Raybould is the Asset Manager at B&R Stores, responsible for improving store operations and ensuring their customers' expectations are met each and every time they shop.
Jordan knew that they were losing product and therefore money and needed better refrigeration monitoring. Stores had different alarm systems and some stores only had a compressor alarm. When the compressor alarm went off someone would need to manually check each case to see if they could find the root cause of the alarm. False alarms and unanswered alarms were also a source of pain. Jordan wanted to know what was going on in all of their stores, no matter where he was. He wanted real-time monitoring of temperatures to be able to prevent product losses.
